We are a small construction company, and we are trying to get this fund going for struggling famiies, I have had this idea for a little over a year. We are donating 20% of what ever I make from the web pages to the fund, We are still doing that. I came up with another idea, I am also seeking donations of another nature, Famous peoples autograph on anything they want to give it on, and then we are going to auction it off. 70% is going directly to help struggling families 30% will go into making the fund bigger and better. I havn't worked out all the details yet, I need sponsors and donations to even make it work we are still going to do this but later. We are going to look for these families through other charity organizations, and at random, we are also going to help the homeless at Christmas with gift vouchers for food clothes ect... housing if they want it. The people we help will be low income families, seniors, the Homeless. This year we are wanting to do some remodeling for low income home owners free of charge. Our next goal will be to bringing some finacial relief to low income struggling famlies, create jobs,do home repair for low income famlies.Relieve other charities.Last year we donated a couple 5.00 gift card to the Homeless . We did not raise to much sorry to say. Maybe this year will be better. Why am I doing this? Well we are a struggling family ourselves and know 1st hand that life dosn't always deal a fair hand for some people. And we have had a few angels lift us up in life now it is time to help others. How many of you struggle to get better finacially in life and can't. Some of our problem is I am a woman trying to do construction, you just don't know how many Men put stops in my way just because I am a woman. Well that makes it harder for me, it is not stopping me though. There are a lot of reasons for this fund. There are alot of other places that help low income families but they are limited as I am but we are not just wanting to get families out of a bind, you know all the other agencies pay some of one bill, feed them for Thanksgiving or get a few gifts for them For their kids at Christmas ect.. most of their help is temporary ours is going to be ongoing. There is a old man that walks around 61st and heards lane in Galveston he use to have a dog with him and he pushes a cart that says NEED FOOD I have seen him a couple of times once or twice last week and again this morning
2/27/06 but I ha'vnt seen his dog. Anyone know anything about this man and why he walks around begging for food? And where's his dog?
